Examinations & evidence

First, put the materials in order.

Find out what the expert actually needs. Do not send an entire case through a public form; begin with a short description.

This guide is not an expert opinion. It does not request or store case materials.

What is enough to tell us first

Describe the item and question: a contract with a disputed signature or an unexplained calculation, for example. Say whether there is a court case or an examination has been appointed. List the originals, copies and appendices available. That is enough to discuss a direction without disclosing the whole case in a public form.

A short preparation checklist

  • One specific fact that needs establishing.
  • A list of items and available source materials.
  • The stage of the dispute and any questions already set.
  • Whether inspection, originals or lawful source access are possible.
  • The date you need the result, subject to a feasibility assessment.
